Evan Kokkila-Schumacher

Evan Kokkila-Schumacher is a playwright, actor, musician, UX writer and designer based in the Twin Cities area. He has worked for both Google and Apple for the last ten years.

Originally from Nebraska, he attended College of Saint Benedict | Saint John's University, where he co-founded the sketch comedy troupe Fireplace Puppies. After graduating, Evan and Sara moved to the Bay Area in 2011 for her Ph.D. program. 

He was with the Pear Playwrights Guild from 2014-19 and was on the board of the Pear Theatre from 2017-19, where he had multiple plays produced. They lived in Colorado from 2018 to 2023 before relocating to Minnesota to be closer to family.

He currently lives in Eagan, MN with his wife, Sara and their children, Hannah, Owen, and Nolan. They also have a dog named Domino.
